We are currently looking for a Head of UX to lead our growing team of product designers, user researchers and usability testers. This role needs to be based in Dresden or Chemnitz and we offer a full-time permanent working contract with amazing benefits. Our customers use Staffbase as the heart of their mobile employee communication. This creates multiple requirements for the core product, its APIs, and the partner and integration ecosystem around it. Our Product Management team works with our customers to better understand their needs and defines the product roadmap to provide the world's best employee experience platform.


Your tasks include:

  • Own the UX and design processes and work closely with Product Managers and Development teams to deliver intuitive and delighting products

  • Lead and mentor a team of product designers, researchers and usability testers in an international, agile and fast-paced environment

  • Together with your team rapidly produce concepts and prototypes, always knowing when to focus attention to detail, and when to create low-fidelity sketches

  • Collaborate with your team, Product and Development to take insights from existing products and transform these into even better experiences

  • Communicate and present design processes and achievements to UX, Business, Product, and Development teams, stakeholders and executive leadership

  • Drive the direction of your team and develop the long-term UX strategy and agile design processes that allows us to delight users while iterating quickly

  • Define job descriptions, interview and hire candidates to build out the UX organization as needed


  • 5+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally in B2B SaaS environment; 2+ years of leading and mentoring design teams
  • Passion for great web and mobile design with a deep understanding of what this can do for your diverse users

  • Inspiring leader with a positive mindset and can-do attitude who thrives in developing people as much as products

  • Highly motivated, driven and self-starting individual who loves to work in a diverse and international team

  • Strong analytical skills that help you inform your design decisions through quantitative research

  • Able to make complex information easily understandable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills in English with ability to present projects and status reports to different teams, customers and leadership, German knowledge is a plus
